I'm failing to see the point in this flash to be honest. But regardless you get a 5/10 for the background's animation. Just put some more animation into it next time.

Even though this was "half-assed" as you put it, it still had pretty decent animation(tweening was excellent by the way) 8/10, you deserve it.

Well thanks a lot. :3 It was my first tweened animation so I'm glad it shows I was putting a little effort into it. At least NOW I know a little more about tweens.
